Noise Map – Galápagos
The first official acoustic monitoring tool for Santa Cruz and
Baltra, designed to evaluate how traffic and urban activity affect
biodiversity and quality of life.
Project:
Objective & Impact
The Noise Map provides a scientific and legal basis to manage noise pollution in Galápagos. It identifies main sources of acoustic impact and supports authorities in creating effective regulations for biodiversity protection.
Identifies sensitive areas affected by human activity.
Supports authorities
in enforcing
environmental
regulations.
Raises awareness about
the relationship between
noise, people, and wildlife.
Our impact goes beyond data: we are building a culture of acoustic
conservation that positions Galápagos as a global reference.
Methodology (CadnaA & ISO 17025)
