WHAT WE DO

The first official acoustic monitoring tool for Santa Cruz and Baltra, designed to evaluate how traffic and urban activity affect biodiversity and quality of life.

Our Mission

Protecting Galápagos Through Science and Education

Protect Environment

We implement land and marine stations to measure environmental noise levels in real time across the islands and protect biodiversity.

Make Big Impact
Our projects, such as the Noise Map and real-time monitoring stations, provide authorities and communities with tools for long-term conservation.
Unite the Community
Through education programs, talks, and workshops, we connect schools, scientists, and citizens to build a culture of environmental awareness.

How It Works

Our Action for Galápagos

Noise Map Development

Mause over: We create the first Noise Map of Santa Cruz and Baltra to measure the impact of human activities and support environmental regulation.

Marine Monitoring Network

Mause over: We seek funding for hydrophone buoys that record underwater noise, prevent ship collisions with species, and protect coral ecosystems.
Education & Awareness
Mause over: Through surveys, talks, and workshops, we raise awareness in schools and communities about the impact of noise on biodiversity.
Terrestrial Monitoring Stations
Mause over: We install four real-time stations in key areas like Baltra, Puerto Ayora, and Tortuga Bay to track acoustic pollution.

Why Us

Our Values

We are an organization committed to protecting the Galápagos Islands through noise monitoring, education, and conservation projects. Our value comes from transparency, scientific accuracy, and community involvement.

“Noise pollution is one of the invisible threats to Galápagos wildlife. At OAG we monitor, educate, and take action to protect biodiversity and ensure a sustainable future for the islands.”
